Making your home more Secure – 3 Tips
There are a few ways to increase the security of your home without spending an arm and a leg. Hiring a contractor can increase your budget significantly. Remember that you will always save a lot more money when you do the work yourself. With that said, here are some tips for making your home secure.
1) Invest in some sensor lights for outside your house. If anyone comes into your yard, they will immediately be in the light, and within view. If you go on vacation and you don’t have a house sitter, then you might consider getting some timed lights for inside your home. This gives the impression that you home, even when you are not. Both of these methods are inexpensive yet simple ways to increase the security of your home.
2) If you are already looking into getting a puppy to love, you might already be aware that getting a dog can be a perfect way to up the security in your home. Dogs often become very protective of there master, so when they hear or smell someone at the door, they are immediately on alert. Even if someone is trespassing on your property at night, your dog will most likely tell you by barking. Dogs are very intuitive that way. My only suggestion would be to get a good sized dog. A dog that is a foot in length won’t be very intimidating to anyone, or anything for that matter!
3) Get a good quality fence around your yard! If you value your security, as well as your privacy, then I suggest getting a strong, durable fence. I find that aluminum fences give off the biggest impression of security and reliability. Fences made from aluminum are classy and sophisticated in most any design that you choose. If you want added privacy, you can buy ‘privacy slates’ at any home improvement or hardware store. A really good fence can turn a home into a well protected fortress!
